Yellow-legged Clearwing

Synanthedon vespiformis (52.012)

The adult Yellow-legged Clearwing is on the wing between late June and July. It is very local and scarce in Warwickshire with a westerly distribution in the county. It can be found in a variety of habitats including woodland, parkland and quarries where mature specimens of the larval foodplants occur.
